In the next phase of a partnership with Boston organization ArtCorps, the Guatemala Radio program welcomes creative writer and filmmaker Patricia Escalon as our new resident artist. Fluent in Spanish, Patricia is a native of El Salvador, but has lived in Australia for many years. She brings experience in storytelling, journalism, script-writing, video production, and photography. Over the next 15 months, she will work closely with youth from Radio Doble Via in San Mateo, Quetzaltenango to create training videos for use in the broader network of radio stations, while building the capacity of Radio Doble Via as a hub for video production.
