The indigenous Iban of eastern Sarawak are urging the Malaysian government to lift a ban on the publication of the Christian Bible in their mother-tongue. Bup Kudus, the complete Old and New Testament in the Iban language, was banned by the home ministry, which offered no explanation for the policy.
