La Alianza Centroamericana de Medios Indígenas y Alternativos, compuesta por tres organizaciones: Cultural Survival, EntreMundos y la Red Centroamericana de Radios Comunitarias Indígenas (que representa a 60 estaciones de radio en los siete países centroamericanos) busca contribuir a democracias efectivas que brinden información adecuada y precisa al público por medio de la investigación de cuestiones que afectan a los Pueblos Indígenas; la presentación de sus perspectivas y el análisis de temas e historias que representan a Centroamérica; y la comunicación con los Pueblos Indígenas sobre sus derechos y preocupaciones. Bajo este marco, estará llevando a cabo el foro: “Pueblos Indígenas: ¿Cómo enfrentar la pandemia del COVID-19?”
Los temas a abordar serán:
· Alimentación y soberanía alimentaria de los Pueblos Indígenas
· Medicina ancestral
· Organización comunitaria y defensa del territorio.
El foro se estará transmitiendo en línea a través del canal de YouTube y en el Facebook de Cultural Survival y a través del link de audio: https://www.culturalsurvival.org/es/foro-covid-19

The Central American Alliance of Indigenous and Alternative Media is composed by three organizations: Cultural Survival, EntreMundos and the Central American Network of Indigenous Community Radios (which represents 60 radio stations in the seven Central American countries). It seeks to contribute to effective democracies that provide adequate and accurate information to the public by investigating issues affecting Indigenous Peoples; the presentation of their perspectives and the analysis of themes and stories that represent Central America; and communication with Indigenous Peoples about their rights and concerns. Under this framework, the Alliance is presenting the Forum: "Indigenous Peoples: How to face the COVID-19 pandemic?"
The topics to be addressed will be:
• Food and food sovereignty of Indigenous Peoples
• Ancestral medicine
• Community organization and defense of the territory.
