Indigenous leaders are bringing awareness to and fighting societal injustice in their own communities and on a global scale. Our newest Indigenous Rights Radio programs highlight the work of two prominent leaders-- Vicky Tauli-Corpuz, UN Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and Marama Mullen, Executive Director of INA: the Maori, Indigenous, and South Pacific HIV/AIDS Foundation. In the following interviews, they discuss the findings of their research and propose solutions to complex problems that provide universal insight into the potential for community advocacy around the world. Also, listen to a program about grassroots activism in South Africa, where Indigenous fisherfolk are responding to regulations imposed upon their traditional livelihoods.
