Pakkiru (Kichwa)

Ayllukunas (families) are the basis of Pakkiru, which has collective practices based on the principles of Sumak Kawsay (good living), Sumak allpa mama (territory), Sumak mirachina (ancestral economy), Sacha Runa Yachay (ancestral knowledge and wisdom), and Sumak Tantanakuy (self-government).

Their project seeks to strengthen the legal and communication strategies of communities, organizations, and collectives working to defend their territory. A four-month training will be conducted in a hybrid virtual and in-person format. Each participant will have a tutor who will provide personalized assistance and will be provided with the necessary equipment, such as cameras and servers. The face-to-face sessions will be held at CONFENIAE's facilities in Unión Base, Puyo, Ecuador. The training will focus on three key areas: social and environmental documentation, archiving methodologies, and autonomous servers. This initiative will train communities in advanced information gathering and management techniques, enabling them to create and maintain useful memory archives from a legal perspective.
