Radyo Sagada 104.7 FM is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing news, information, and entertainment platforms through its broadcast channels. With the main objective of providing a space for marginalized groups, particularly Indigenous Peoples, the organization aims to amplify their voices and perspectives. In addition to broadcasting content, the organization provides training to empower community members as citizen journalists, enabling them to share their stories and experiences. Powered by community broadcasters, the organization ensures that content is authentic and representative of the communities it serves. Its programs focus on important issues such as intergenerational transfer of Indigenous knowledge, practices, and beliefs, human rights, climate change, women's issues, agriculture, good governance, and the environment. Through these initiatives, the organization strives to promote inclusion, education, and awareness among its audiences.
The project has enabled the radio station to acquire a new transmitter and the necessary equipment to ensure that it can resume broadcasting and reach its listeners effectively. By investing in this equipment, the station can continue to offer valuable content to its audience and fulfill its mission. As part of the project, a strategic plan towards sustainability is being developed outlining the station's long-term goals and objectives. This plan will not only ensure the station's continued operation, but will also pave the way for its growth and impact on the community. Through strategic planning, the station will be able to secure its future and maintain its role as a vital source of information and entertainment for its listeners in the Cordilleras, Regions 1 and 2 of Northern Luzon, Philippines.
