Ryan Wilson joins Cultural Survival staff

Ryan WilsonRyan Wilson (Oglala Lakota), president of the National Alliance to Save Native Languages, joined Cultural Survival's staff in early September to oversee national fundraising and field organizing for the Cultural Survival Native Language Revitalization Campaign.  He recently directed the Northern Arapaho Council of Elders' successful efforts to open a language immersion grade school, the Hinono'eitiit Nevei3eino'oowu', on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming.  Upcoming campaign activities include site visits to language program partners and other tribal nations including the Euchee, Sauk, and Wampanoag.  Wilson will also attend the upcoming National Indian Education Association annual conference to facilitate the annual NIEA Language Summit.
